30-Day Book Challenge: Days 27- 28

The Boyfriend App - Katie Sise Skylark - Meagan Spooner Etiquette & Espionage - Gail Carriger

Day 27 - The Most Surprising Plot Twist or Ending

I'm a big fan of twist endings and I'm always on the look out for them. Which means I'm rarely surprised. Well the first book here, The Boyfriend App, certainly managed to conceal its twist from me. Unfortunately, this prompt isn't the best twist ending.

Seriously, if you ever have the opportunity to read this one, it's worth it for sheer what the fuck-ery of the twist. You may wonder how there can be a twist in a contemporary about app developing high school students? That's the beauty of it, there can't be! It involves a late in the game genre change, and that's all I'm saying.

My favorite twist, though, is Skylark. I was so focused on some of the small twists that I missed the giant, endgame revelation. And it was awesome.

Day 28 - Favorite Book Title

Etiquette & Espionage is a damn fine title. It's funny and and lets you know this is about a girls' boarding school that secretly trains spies. Curtsies & Conspiracies and Waistcoats & Weaponry, the upcoming sequels, are also great. Good job Ms. Carriger.
